Inspection Checklist
Initial Visual Inspection
Odometer Reading is supported by general condition of the vehicle.
Lube Sticker or maintenance log was checked for support of mileage.
Oil/Filter was checked and changed as needed.
Under Hood
Engine* block, cylinder heads, intake and exhaust manifolds were checked and cracks corrected as needed.
Oil Leaks were checked and corrected as needed.
Automatic Transmission Fluid* is at the prescribed level and free of contamination and/or discoloration. Fluid and filter were changed as needed. Coolant is at the prescribed level and is not contaminated. Coolant was flushed and changed as needed.
Cooling System was pressure tested and leaks corrected as needed. Cooling fan was checked and corrected as needed.
Power Steering pump reservoir and gear box/rack and pinion are at the prescribed fluid level and system shows no evidence of leaks or noises.
Brake Master Cylinder is at the prescribed fluid level.
Battery charge is at the prescribed level. Cables are corrosion-free and properly secured.
Carburetor/Fuel Injection air filters are clean.
Under Vehicle
Transmission case is free of cracks and leaks.
Standard Transmission Fluid* is at the prescribed level (also transfer case on 4x4's) and there are no leaks.
CV/Axle Boots are free from cracks or deterioration.
Struts are not leaking or weak.
Steering/Suspension Systems (ball joints, tie rods, etc.) were checked for wear and looseness and parts replaced as needed.
Rear Axle Fluid* is at the prescribed level (also front axle on 4x4's) and housing is not leaking.
Frame Mounts are free from cracks or deterioration with no signs of impact damage.
Exhaust System is free from cracks, deterioration and leaks.
Tires show normal wear, safe tread depth and no signs of damage to side walls or tread area.
Road Test
Engine Start/Idle was checked for smoke, prompt start and smooth idle, and corrected as needed.
Engine* operated properly during test drive with no obvious signs of problems (noise, smoking, poor performance, etc.).
Engine Oil, Pressure and Operating Temperatures are within normal range levels.
Automatic Transmission* shifts smoothly and quietly.
Standard Transmission* shifts properly and quietly (also transfer case on 4x4's).
Drive Line Vibration, if any, was corrected.
Electrical switches, alternator, wiper motor, grids on heated back glass (if equipped) are operating properly.
Air Conditioning is operating properly and is free from Freon leaks and noise.
Steering is operating properly.
Brakes and Calipers are operating properly and free from leaks.
Parking Brake is operating properly.
Unusual Noises, if any, in the engine, transmission, drive shaft, universal joints or rear axle were corrected.
Emission System is operating properly and meets standards required by law.
Exterior Appearance
Front and Rear Bumpers fascia, guards and finish meet acceptable standards. Lamps and lights are attached and operational.
Grill emblems are attached. Headlights and all other lamps are attached and operational.
Hood emblems are attached and finish is acceptable.
Front/Rear Fender trim is attached and finish is acceptable. Lamps and lights are attached and operational.
Front/Rear Door trim is attached and finish is acceptable.
Trunk Lid, Truck Bed/Bedliner trim is attached and finish is acceptable.
Roof trim is attached and finish is acceptable.
Glass shows no cracks, chips or scratches. Wiper arms and blades are intact and operational.
Wheels/Wheel cover trim is attached and finish is acceptable.
Interior appearance
Instrument Panel/Console controls are functional and trim is attached.
Front/Rear Seat trim is attached. Cushions and upholstery are in acceptable condition.
Door Panel Controls are functional, trim is attached and upholstery is in acceptable condition.
Carpet/Floor Mats are in acceptable condition.
Headliner trim is attached and in acceptable condition.
Luggage Compartment/Cargo Area trim is attached and carpet and liners are in acceptable condition. Lamps are operational.
Accessories (lights, gauges, radio, power windows, and seats, door clocks and alarm system) are all operational.
Warranty Obligation
*If any of the component(s)/part(s) listed under WHAT IS COVERED in this Limited Warranty experiences a mechanical failure, the Issuing Dealer or its assigned repair facility will repair the failure. You must return your vehicle to the Issuing Dealership's local repair facility or to its assigned repair facility to make necessary repairs to covered parts. For each repair visit, you must pay the deductible indicated above as well as the costs for any noncovered parts. If no deductible is indicated above, your deductible will be $100 per repair visit. All liabilities assumed by the Issuing Dealer are subject to the coverage, conditions, and exemptions set forth in this Limited Warranty. Coverage under this Limited Warranty does not include repairs which qualify under your vehicle's manufacturer or repair facility warranty, including recalls by your vehicle's manufacturer. You must pay all costs which are not covered under this Limited Warranty.

- Axle Seals (Unless required with covered repairs).

Only those parts stated under “Covered Parts” are covered by this limited warranty.
**This Limited Warranty further excludes the repair of Engine Valves, Piston Rings and Cylinder Wear to correct either low compression or oil consumption.
24-Hour Emergency Roadside service ($50 per occurrence)
Road America's Auto Assist: 24-hour emergency roadside service provides towing assistance; dead-battery service; flat-tire assistance; fuel, oil and water delivery service (you must pay for the fuel or other fluid when it is delivered); and lockout service expenses up to $50 per occurrence for your covered vehicle for 12 months from the Vehicle Sale Date, regardless of this Limited Warranty's duration. For these "sign-and-go" benefits, you must call ROAD AMERICA (800-325-9028) before incurring any emergency roadside expense.
